A wedding on a Sunday afternoon, in my mind, is such a lovely time to get married, especially if it’s in Autumn. Melissa and Evan were such a sweet couple and I was so happy to be able to help them on their wedding day. Melissa looked absolutely timeless in a long lace dress, and the mix of garden flowers with navy was oh so very classy. The wedding was just beautiful. Congratulations Even and Melissa. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of such a special day.

Building A Dream

Life has been busy lately. In order to get my fashion line up and running in time for spring 2014, I have been busy meeting with my seamstress, dying over 10 bolts of fabric, which has permanently dyed my fingers an odd shade of green. and filling out spec sheets, which, by the way, do not stand for spectacular sheets. On top of that, I have been busy with weddings and getting ready to close out 2013 with some pretty awesome weddings. Thankfully, I got to spend a few hours this past weekend to celebrate a very special little girl’s first birthday, who’s mother is a dear friend of mine and past client. Thanks Kate Morrow for capturing this cutie who turned 1!

An intimate wedding mixing the refined and the rustic, the charming and the classic, the lavish with the deeply meaningful, at the most understated and elegant estate. Matt and Erika were my New York City couple who planned their destination wedding weekend for beautiful Northern Michigan and I was honored to be able to help them in the planning. Since this was a destination wedding, it turned into an entire weekend of celebrating with friends and family. Their wedding was an intimate affair of 80 guests at a remote location under a clear blue sky with a magnificent view of stunning Lake Michigan. Every detail was carefully thought out and executed to perfection. The blooms were lush and lavish, the food was exquisite, the music was fun, and the bridesmaids were dazzling in champagne! The evening ended with the flicker of candle lights and twinkle lights under the thickest blanket of stars I have ever seen. Congratulations Matt and Erika on your new life together from the Concrete Jungle to Sunny California.
