Brandon and Katie

I love winter weddings for many reasons. First, a fresh dusting of snow is super romantic and candles add to the romance. Second, I love the smell of fresh pine and evergreen. Lastly, I like to believe that couples that get married in the winter are so deeply in love because they aren’t concerned with getting married during a lovely Spring/Summer/Autumn.
Meet Katie and Brandon. They are deeply in love. Their wedding was my first wedding of 2013 and I was honored to be able to help at their gorgeous, winter wedding. Their wedding was beautifully thought out, with gorgeous details in icy grays and a stunning palette of winter blues and the fun hint of chevron print. With the weather being an unusually warm 42 degrees and an overcast sky, it made for a romantic and dreamy wedding day.

“No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow”
Proverb
I keep thinking that spring is near. On days that there are birds chirping, buds opening and sunshine peeking through the clouds, I am tempted to put away the mittens, dust off my spring jacket and take it for a trial run. However, the next day the weather decides that patience is indeed a virtue and I awaken to a day of frost and sleet. Thus, in my need for a little spring cheer, I was brought these lovely flowers.
